Abstract

Kota Bandung merpakan Ibukota Provinsi Jawa yang menjadi salah satu tujuan wisata yang diminati wisatawan. Tingginya minat wisatawan berkunjung ke Kota Bandung memicu meningkatkan peluang dalam berbagai jenis usaha baik objek wisata maupun usaha-usaha lain yang berhubungan dengan aktifitas wisata seperti akomodasi transportasi, hotel, kuliner dan lain sebagainya. Berdasarkan latar belakang tersebut maka dapat dikatakan Kota Bandung memiliki potensi untuk membuat bangunan yang menarik dan mudah diingat dari bentuk dan konsep dari bangunan, dengan tetap selaras dengan kondisi lingkungan. Di kawasan Jl.Jendral Sudirman belum tersedia hotel bintang empat yang dapat memenuhi kebutuhan wisatawan yang datang ke Kota Bandung. Kota Bandung hanya memiliki sedikit bangunan yang menggunakan tema arsitektur biomimikri. Penerapan arsitektur biomimikri dituntut bukan hanya meniru makhluk hidup atau dari bentuk alam saja, namun harus mampu menghadirkan desain yang selaras dengan lingkungan sekitar. Berdasarkan latar belakang tersebut tema arsitektur biomimikri dari pohon palem dipilih untuk bangunan hotel bintang empat ini dengan prinsip penerapan desain terinspirasi dari alam: organisme level berupa bentuk, material, konstruksi dan proses pohon palem. --- Bandung is the capital of Java Province which is one of the tourist destinations that are of interest to tourists. The high interest of tourists visiting Bandung triggers increasing opportunities in various types of businesses both tourist objects and other businesses related to tourism activities such as transportation, hotel accommodation, culinary and so on. Based on this background, it said that Bandung has the potential to make buildings interesting and easy to remember from the shape and concept of the building, while remaining in harmony with environmental conditions. In the area of Jl.Jendral Sudirman there is no four-star hotel available that can meet the needs of tourists who come to the city of Bandung. The city of Bandung only has a few buildings that use the theme of biomimicry architecture. The application of biomimicry architecture is required not only to imitate living things or from natural forms, but must be able to present designs that are in harmony with the surrounding environment. Based on this background the theme of biomimicry architecture from palm trees was chosen for this four-star hotel building with the principle of applying designs inspired by nature: organism level in the form, material, construction and process of palm trees.
