Abstract

This study evaluated the wastewater management systems at four coffee shops in Ciumbuleuit Village, Bandung City. The results showed that all locations used septic tanks with capacities and detention times that did not meet the standards of SNI 2398:2017, and did not have a separation between grey water and black water. Advanced treatment systems such as biofilters, grease traps, and infiltration wells have not been implemented, posing a potential risk of environmental pollution. The primary recommendations include increasing septic tank capacity with anaerobic biofilter design, installing grease traps, and implementing advanced treatment through infiltration wells or constructed wetlands. The implementation of these improvements is expected to enhance effluent quality and prevent environmental pollution. Key Words : Liquid waste, septic tank, coffee shop
