Abstract
The service pipe network of SPAM in Samanea Hill, Parung Panjang District, Bogor Regency was built with a total water requirement of 34.53 liters/second, with a Qmax factor of 1.2 and a leakage rate of 21.18%. In current situation, there are several obstacles regarding the flow of drinking water that does not comply with the design criteria which affect the distribution of pressure, speed and headloss in Samanea Hill. To optimize the drinking water distribution network system, a hydraulic evaluation is needed. The method used to evaluate the distribution network is using the EPANET 2.0 device. The results of the hydraulic evaluation showed that 58% of the pipes had a flow rate <0.3 meters/second. In addition, the simulation results also showed that 17% had a headloss value more than 10 m/km. This condition is one of the causes than optimal flow drinking water distribution system in Samanea Hill, so improvements need to made by replacing the pipe diameter at several points from the simulated. Therefore, to achieve optimal drinking water distribution conditions, it is necessary to adjust the pipe diameter so that distribution of speed and headloss in simulation results achieve optimal conditions for drinking water distribution in Samanea Hill. Keywords: EPANET 2.0, distribution network, drinking water, water loss
