Abstract

Efficient business processes and appropriate decision making are both very dependent on the availability of information that is complete, consistent, safe, timely, and relevant within an organization, the same matter goes with higher education institutions. The obstacles, most of the time, are the limited abilities to manage information technology in an integrated manner by information technology service units at many higher education institutions. This limitation in many cases is due to the unavailability of framework for information technology governance in accordance with the needs of those institutions. To overcome these problems, these institutions require unified frameworks by adopting the best-practices standards tailored to internal needs. Weill-Ross Model is one of the many standards that can be adapted to the needs of information technology governance in higher education institutions as it covers the fully integrated IT-governance and is adaptable. Institut Teknologi Nasional Bandung (Itenas) is the higher education institution that was taken as the object of this study.
