Abstract

Bandung merupakan ibukota Jawa Barat, salah satu kawasan yang telah dikenal dengan berbagai tempat wisata, yang menjadi tujuan wisata ibukota maupun luar ibukota. Sehingga saat ini Kota Bandung memiliki banyak hotel berbintang, yang ikut menunjang industri pariwisata di kota Bandung. Mengingat bahwa kota Bandung adalah kota yang kaya akan bangunan heritage seperti arsitektur art deco, maka dari itu perlunya dibangun hotel yang mampu mendukung aktifitas pariwisata dan dapat memberikan karakter terhadap julukan kota Bandung, yaitu sebagai kota yang kaya akan dengan bangunan heritage yaitu art deco. Kawasan Jendral Sudirman merupakan wilayah urban dengan kondisi topografi kontur yang relatif datar, dengan potensi ekonomi tinggi sebagai salah satu pusat perniagaan di Bandung. Tujuan dari perancangan ini adalalah merancang hotel yang memiliki karakter terhadap julukan kota Bandung yaitu art deco yang berada di Jalan Jendral Sudirman dengan menggunakan metode pendekatan kualitatif yaitu menyelesaikan masalah dengan pengumpulan data hotel agar dapat menciptakan antara ide dan realita yang ada. Arsitektur Art Deco merupakan gaya arsitektur modern yang ditemukan di eropa yang memiliki ciri bentuk yang geometris, terdapat elemen-elemen dekoratif secara vertikal dan horizontal. Penerapan arsitektur Art Deco ini pada bagian fasad bangunan dan interior bangunan dengan memperlihatkan elemen geometris dan dekoratif atau bisa disebut juga sebagai streamline deco. --- Bandung is the capital of West Java, one of the regions that has been known for various tourist, which are the tourist destinations of the capital and outside the capital. So that currently the city of Bandung has many star hotels, which help support the tourism industry in the city of Bandung. Given that the city of Bandung is a city rich in heritage buildings such as art deco architecture, it is therefore necessary to build a hotel that is able to support tourism activities and can give character to the nickname of the city of Bandung, which is a city rich in heritage buildings, art deco. The General Sudirman area is an urban area with relatively flat contour topography, with high economic potential as one of the commercial centers in Bandung. The purpose of this design is to design a hotel that has the character of the art deco nickname of the city of Bandung which is on Jalan Jendral Sudirman by using a qualitative approach method that is solving problems with hotel data collection in order to create between ideas and reality. Art Deco architecture is a modern architectural style found in Europe which has a characteristic geometric shape, there are decorative elements vertically and horizontally. The application of the Art Deco architecture is on the facade of the building and interior of the building by showing geometric and decorative elements or can be referred to as streamline deco.
