Abstract

Bandung merupakan salah satu kota yang banyak dikunjungi dan diminati oleh wisatawan, dengan kebutuhan fasilitas wisata yang terus melonjak setiap tahunnya. Hal ini merupakan latar belakang pembangunan akomodasi wisata yang diantaranya merupakan pembangunan hotel sebagai sarana bagi wisatawan dan masyarakat dalam kota untuk menggunakan fasilitas sebagai tempat menginap, tempat pengadaan acara hingga penyediaan tempat untuk pertemuan. Sorscha City Hotel adalah salah satu city hotel yang terletak di Jalan Jendral Sudirman Bandung, yang merupakan daerah komersil dan padat di kota Bandung. Perancangan desain hotel mengutamakan terciptanya suasana tersendiri dengan desain area lansekap dan kolam renang yang berada di lantai 2 podium diantara 2 tower, serta memperhatikan fungsi kenyamanan bagi pengunjung. Arsitektur kontemporer adalah salah satu pendekatan desain yang di implementasikan baik pada eksterior dan interior bangunan, dengan konsep “masa kini”, dinamis, estetis, serta penggunaan aplikasi material bamboo sebagai identitas bangunan, karena bamboo merupakan salah satu tumbuhan khas dari Jawa Barat. Site sendiri terletak di kawasan perkotaan dengan kondisi kurangnya area hijau dan tingginya intensitas aktivitas pada kawasan tersebut, oleh karena itu lansekap atau area pada Sorscha City Hotel didesain dengan luas yang maksimal, serta fasilitas pedestrian dan penanaman tanaman yang estetis untuk memberikan suasana berbeda bagi pengunjung. Sehingga melalui pendekatan arsitektur kontemporer dengan aplikasi material bamboo Sorscha City Hotel diharapkan mampu memberi desain yang menarik, fungsional, dan menjadi salah satu hotel dengan arsitektur masa kini sebagai kemajuan desain bagi Kota Bandung. --- Bandung isone of the cities that are visited by many tourists, with the need for tourist facilities that continue to soar every year. This things are the background for the development of tourist accommodation, between the development of hotels for tourists and city community to use the facilities as a place to stay, to procure events and to provide a facilities for meetings. Sorscha City Hotel is one of the city hotels located on Jalan Jendral Sudirman Bandung, which is a commercial and is the one of populous area in the city of Bandung. The design of the hotel prioritizes the creation of its own atmosphere with the design of landscape areas and swimming pools which are on the 2nd floor of the podium between 2 towers, and to take notice about the function of comfort for visitors. Contemporary architecture is one of the design approaches implemented both on the exterior and interior of the building, with the concept of "present", dynamic, aesthetic, and the use of bamboo material applications as building identity, because bamboo is one of the typical plants of West Java. The site itself is located in an urban area with a lack of green areas and a high intensity of activity in the area, therefore the landscape or area of Sorscha City Hotel is designed with maximum area, as well as aesthetic pedestrian and planting facilities to provide a different atmosphere for visitors. So that through a contemporary architectural approach to the application of bamboo materials, Sorscha City Hotel is expected to be able to provide attractive, functional designs, and become one of the hotels with contemporary architecture as a design advancement for the City of Bandung.
