Abstract

Reported as of June 2023, PT X has imported 5,194.905 tons of B3 waste. This B3 waste is used as raw material and auxiliary material in the production of purified terephthalic acid (PTA) and will eventually be fully utilized as B3 waste. Proper management of B3 waste is essential to enhance the achievement of objectives in complying with government regulations, preventing environmental pollution, and improving resource efficiency. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate the management of B3 waste at PT X and, if needed, provide recommendations or follow-up actions related to B3 waste management to improve performance and avoid adverse impacts. The evaluation is conducted using a weighted Guttman Scale based on the Minister of Environment and Forestry Regulation No. 6 of 2021, and the percentage score is calculated. The evaluation results of B3 waste management at PT X achieved a score of 81%, which falls into the excellent category.
