Abstract

Cikundul landfill site is a landfill whose service area covers the entire area of Sukabumi City. The operational system of Cikundul landfill site is a controlled landfill. Cikundul landfill site has a new landfill that is currently under construction. Cikundul landfill site receives 128.93 tons/day of waste that enters the landfill every day, with this waste generation value, it is necessary to calculate the service life of the new landfill at Cikundul landfill site. The calculation of the service life of the Cikundul landfill site is carried out by calculating the waste that enters the landfill for the next 20 years. Furthermore, the landfill capacity is calculated according to the available area and the predetermined design criteria. The capacity of the new landfill at Cikundul landfill site, Sukabumi City is 93,693 m³. The accumulation of waste entering the Cikundul landfill site, Sukabumi City from 2022 to 2041 is 3,847,647 m³. The service life of the new landfill at the Cikundul landfill site, Sukabumi City with an optimistic scheme calculation is 2 years 9 months 23 days or until 2024. Waste sorting at the source is needed to reduce residual waste entering the new landfill at the Cikundul landfill site, Sukabumi City.
