Abstract

PT X is one of the manufacturing companies in Indonesia. In its operations, PT X produces waste in a chemical reaction containing NH4Cl salt which can be used as a fertilizer that has economic value so that proactive steps need to be taken by processing and applying the technology that is most suitable for the characteristics of the waste. This research aims to prepare a comprehensive feasibility study for the construction of a Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) at PT X with a resource recovery approach so that the construction of the WWTP is not only economically feasible, but also contributes positively to environmental sustainability. In this study, a technical analysis will be conducted to evaluate the performance of the system in accordance with applicable regulations, an economic analysis to assess the financial feasibility of the project, and a social and environmental analysis to consider the impact of the project on the community and the surrounding environment. The results of this study based on the economic aspects of the construction of this WWTP are feasible if NH4Cl can be marketed, based on the technical feasibility aspect the appropriate technology used for the construction of this WWTP is to use evaporator technology while in the environmental aspect the construction of WWTP at PT X with evaporator technology is a positive step towards better and sustainable waste management.
