Abstract

One of the primary goals outlined in Indonesia's 2020-2024 National Medium-Term Development Plan is to ensure universal access to drinking water. This includes increasing piped water network coverage by 30% and reducing non-revenue water (NRW) to a maximum of 25%. To achieve this, PERUMDA Tirtawening has been developing a piped water supply system in the Gedebage area using a district meter area (DMA) approach. Of the 23 planned DMAs, DMA 2.8, located in East Margasari, Buahbatu sub-district, Bandung city, serves 2.146 service connections with a distribution pipe length of 12.972 meters. This study involved a field survey of the installed pipes and subsequent hydraulic simulation using EPANET 2.2 software. The simulation employed data on water consumption, ground elevation, consumption patterns, and network technical specifications. The simulation results were compared against the design criteria specified in the Ministry of Public Works Regulation Number 18 of 2007. Findings revealed that 66% of the links exhibited flow velocities below 0,3 m/s, and 2% of the links experienced head losses exceeding 10 m/km. However, all nodes maintained residual pressures within the acceptable range of 10-80 m.
