Abstract
Based on Government Regulation No. 22/2021, every business that produces Hazardous Toxic Waste required carry out waste management which includes reducing, storing, collecting, transporting, utilizing, processing, and landfilling. B3 waste from industry can pollute the environment and endanger health if not managed properly. This study aims to evaluate B3 waste management at PT. X must comply with regulations and be safe for the environment and health. The evaluation shows PT. X produces an average of B3 waste 760 kg/month, or 67.53% of the total annually, from the production unit maintenance process such as used oil, used batteries, majun fabrics, B3 contaminated waste, used B3 packaging, and used lights. The largest generation of B3 waste produced is category 2 B3 waste, characterized by indirect (chronic) hazards. Then, after an evaluation process using the Guttman scale, the values per criteria were obtained, namely for good storage, terrible collection, very good storage, good symbols and labels, and very good transportation. Suggestions that need to be made are to improve the used oil container with Poly Carbonate (PP) plastic boxes, use a forklift for transportation, store the waste at a distance of 60 cm, transport it by box/truck, and use Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) plastic for labeling.
