Abstract

The problem of waste in Bandung City will not be discussed as long as there is no significant reduction, and Bandung City is one of the largest contributors to the Sarimukti Landfill. To overcome this problem, a programme to increase community participation in waste management is available, namely the Kang PisMan (Reduce, Separate, and Utilise Waste) programme based on the Kawasan Bebas Sampah (KBS), which is assisted by the Bandng city Dinas Lingkungan Hidup (DLH). This programme focuses on waste segregation, waste processing in the area, and residue transported to the TPS. The methods used were observation, documentation, interviews, and SWOT analysis. The results of this study are that in the organic processing technology in the 4 research locations there are Bata Terawang, Loseda, Wasima, Lubang Biopori, Tong Komposter, MOL (Mikoorganisme Lokal), Eco Enzyme, Black Soldiers Fly (BSF), Biodigester, Ember Komposter, and Takakura. Then the most available technologies in 4 locations are MOL (Mikroorganisme Lokal), Bata Terawang, Biodigester, and Lubang Biopori, which produce solid fertiliser, liquid fertiliser, animal feed and fish. The results of the swot analysis show that by increasing the quantity of human resources in DLH Bandung City as well as in each region by providing employment opportunities to facilitate the provision of education to the community and facilitate the availability of waste processing facilities for the community in each region in order to reduce the number of waste generated.
