Abstract

The Waste Water Treatment Plant (IPAL) is an important component in waste water management so that the waste water produced by PT. This research aims to calculate the efficiency of the IPAL system at PT. X with focus on containment. The research methodology involves collecting operational data from the treatment system and analyzing water quality from the inlet and outlet. The research results show that the IPAL system of PT. X succeeded in meeting the standard water quality standard set based on the quality standard of LH RI Regulation No. 5 of 2014 concerning the Mutur Wastewater Standard for the PET industry, but there is a potential increase in energy efficiency. Using appropriate wastewater treatment installation units in the processing process and optimizing routine maintenance can reduce energy consumption and increase treatment effectiveness. This research recommends implementing more efficient technological solutions and improving operational procedures to increase overall efficiency. These findings are expected to make a significant contribution to sustainable and environmentally friendly wastewater management in industry.
