Abstract

Industrial activities, including textiles, will produce waste materials in the form of solid waste and liquid waste. If waste is not managed or processed, it will cause environmental pollution problems. Especially liquid waste, the Government of the Republic of Indonesia regulates textile wastewater quality standards in PerMen LH No. 5 of 2014 concerning Wastewater Quality Standards. According to BPS (2020), the textile industry is one of the fields with rapid growth, even up to 40.10%. The form of effort in preventing environmental pollution is the existence of a Wastewater Treatment Plant (IPAL) in the industry. However, over time, continuous reviews need to be carried out to always maintain optimal IPAL. Where in processing units such as storage tanks, equalization tanks, coagulation and flocculation tanks, aeration tanks, and sedimentation tanks have their respective design criteria to maintain processing at its best performance. Therefore, the method used is a comparison of existing IPAL conditions with ideal conditions in the design criteria, so that IPAL performance can be known. Based on the calculation results in several units, there are units that are indeed designed over design and less than the design criteria so that the overall evaluation, especially the processed water from the IPAL, is carried out by comparing it with the quality standards for regional wastewater. Good processed water quality is obtained because the efficiency of the IPAL for COD parameters is 89%, color 94%, TSS 95%
