Abstract

Waste generation is the amount of waste generated by a waste source in an area every day. The unit of weight of waste generation is expressed in kg/person/day and kg/m2/day. The purpose of knowing the waste generation is as an estimate of the waste generated for future planning so that it can be used for the basis of planning and designing waste management systems and determining the amount of waste that must be managed. Waste management is a systematic, comprehensive, and sustainable waste activity that includes waste reduction and handling. Waste management must be in accordance with waste management methods and techniques so as not to have a negative impact on public health and the environment. The identification of waste generation in Patimban Port, Subang Regency is carried out in line with the development process and development planning based on Presidential Regulation Number 47 of 2016 concerning the Determination of Patimban Port as a National Strategic Project in order to increase the fulfillment of port service capacity in the West Java region. The development of Patimban Port is planned to be carried out in stages starting from 2018 to 2030. Potential waste sources in Patimban Port come from 2 zones, namely the Port zone located at sea with six activity areas and the Port Support zone consisting of one activity area.
