Abstract

CV. X is garment factory located in Kopo, Bandung, with 103 workers. The density and high activity in the production room, which includes spreading, cutting, numbering, sewing, finishing, quality check, and packagin processes, has the potential to produce hazardous substances in the air that can endager workers’ health. This study aims to assess air quality in the production room by measuring the concentration of fine particles (PM2,5) and carbon dioxide (CO2) using the Bosean T-Z01 device. The measurement results show that the concentrations of PM2,5 and CO2 are still below the set threshold, with the highest average values of 0,062 mg/m3 for PM2,5 and 432,55 ppm for CO2, respectively. Despite this, the production process at CV. X, including cutting, spreading, sewing, and finishing (use of irons and machines), are potential sources of air pollution.
