Abstract
Most companies in Indonesia have implemented the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) principles, yet in some cases, there are still companies that have not conducted analysis of occupational accident risks. Therefore, the analysis of occupational accident risks plays a crucial role in identifying, understanding, and mitigating potential hazards across various sectors in Indonesia. The incidence of occupational accidents in Indonesia still remains in the high category, which can be further classified into 3 (three) causes of occupational accidents which consist of unsafe acts amounting to 88%, unsafe conditions which amounted to 10%, and 2% for unknown causes. According to legal enactment No.1 in 1970 about Occupational Health and Safety, to reduce the number of occupational accidents, OHS are required to ensure the safety of every worker and other individuals in the work environment. Risk control is also aimed to ensure that every production source can be used or accessed safely and efficiently, and also supporting national welfare and productivity. In this study, a comprehensive assessment of risks was performed on PT. X, which is engaged in providing chemicals related to oil and gas, assessed based on the work processes carried out by PT. X. The risk analysis result shows that PT. X has a number of potential hazards on the work processes and it is recommended to perform engineering control within the loading and unloading process as a risk control measure.
