Abstract

PT Polyfin Canggih is a textile industry company that produces hazardous waste in its production process. PT Polyfin Canggih produces two types of hazardous waste, namely solid hazardous waste and liquid hazardous waste. Solid waste generated is sludge from wastewater treatment, bottom ash, fly ash, contaminated mop, used batteries, used cartridges, electronic waste, used TL lamps, laboratory waste, B3 packaging, used oil, and oil filters. Liquid B3 waste generated at PT Polyfin Canggih is used oil. Hazardous waste generated in the period January - June 2023 is 534.98 tons / month. PT Polyfin Canggih, as a company that produces hazardous waste, has a big responsibility to manage hazardous waste properly. The negative impacts of poor hazardous waste management can pose a threat to the environment and public health. This research was conducted to identify sources and types of hazardous waste, characteristics of hazardous waste, hazardous waste generation, and hazardous waste management that has been carried out at PT Polyfin Canggih.
