Abstract
New generation farmers in some villages in West Java are at risk of losing their farming skills. Many village farms are not cultivated or sold for other purposes. They do not like hoeing, watering plants, fertilizing, or buying farm equipment. But since the introduction of hydroponics science and technology, many young farmers are motivated to become self-sufficient farmers. This study aims to find a hydroponic system that fits well with rural situations and conditions, so that a variety of popular hydroponics systems are tested. The results show that there is a difference in plant growth quality. The best hydroponic system is recommended for the development of agricultural products in today's countryside.
