Abstract

This research is to estimates the impact on the water quality of the Cipeueut River due to the construction of the PT X factory. The analyzed impact is in the form of liquid waste generated from construction and operational activities which will cause a decrease in surface water quality. The parameter to be studied is TSS because this parameter is a key parameter of industrial waste, the research begins with determining the status of Cipeueut River water quality using the Pollution Index (IP) method, followed by determining the average soil erosion potential using the Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE) method, then determine the contamination load of the TSS parameter, after knowing the value of the pollution load, the next stage is to calculate the estimated value of the impact that occurs the contamination load of the TSS parameter. The following is the conclusion obtained, namely the magnitude of the impact of decreasing surface water quality in the construction stage, namely land maturation activities of 19.62 mg / l. Environmental Management Plan (RKL) and Environmental Monitoring Plan (RPL) for the construction stage of TSS parameters land maturation activities can be carried out by installing tarpaulins, soil compaction, and making settling units such as settling ponds and sediment traps.
